These policies are continually being evaluated. If you have a special case, let us know on the contact page and we'll see if we can help. Security staff have instructions not to assist with deliveries.
We have managed to source a limited number of bottles of hand sanitiser. These can be purchased from security at R100 for a 1 litre kit (cost to assemble ~R140). Future supply is unsure so one per Disa Park unit. This was not an easy task, and took initiative from our managing agent, several trustees, and our staff.
We've arranged for the cleaning services provider to assign one person solely to sanitise high traffic surfaces. Lift buttons, landing door handles, gates etc. Still, keep in mind that the frequency of people passing through means someone else has still likely passed before you. Rubbish chutes should be treated with extra care. If possible, double bag your tissues etc.
Security and cleaning staff have been briefed on best practices in the current COVID-19 context. They have been each given hand sanitizer for use during the day, and one to take home. The cleaning services provider also reached out to advise on instructions they have provided to their staff. Please be extra kind when interacting with them, as it must be terribly stressful for those of us who can't just "work from home".
Physical distancing is hard for us all, but it also means someone living among us might be completely overlooked. At the same time, we need to respect each others’ privacy and dignity. As neighbours, we've reached out to make sure we don’t overlook someone in need. Not everyone is on a WhatsApp group, follows the same news, or is in regular contact with someone to provide support/reassurance/advice. If you've seen this call, or think you can assist please contact us.
